My ball winder arrived this morning and here are some pics of my first ball, it is so satisfying, although we did have a few tangles in the hank. The ball is so neat and cute, I love it. The yarn is Fyberspates - Grenada, the picture doesn't do it justice. It is lovely shades of pink, plum & burgundy, very autumnal. I am going to start my FC shawl in it as soon as I finish a few WIP's first ;)

Oooh, that's nice. Did you use a swift with it? I just ordered a ball winder but don't have the space for a swift so was wondering if it was easy to wind without one.
Don't you just love using a ball winder?
I wish all my wool came in hanks so I could just wind it up.
I am even tempted sometimes to use it to rewind balls as I love the effect you get.
